About the Project

The host unit was a skid steer armoured to protect it from blasts. The unit carried a number of interchangeable “tools” to clear ground. The assembled unit shown here is fitted with a flail drum. This threw blocks on chains which impacted and dragged across the ground in front of the advancing unit exploding anti-personnel mines. Blast was absorbed by a steel screen. Additional tools included hedge and grass cutters and a standard front bucket. The unit shown was successfully commissioned in Kosovo.
