About the Project
“Swell” is a kinetic sculptural artwork by Dominic Harris for Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship. Inspired by the beauty of the body of water surrounding the ship, his artwork is always alive and in motion.
The chandelier has 60 programmable arms driven from a motorised ring. We were impressed with the piece when it was assembled but stunned when it moved! It looked out of place in our workshop but has a perfect setting aboard the Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship.
